Renew Mind

Renew your Mind and achieve Transformation.

Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

I know that you have just read the scripture above and have probably read this specific scripture many times before, but I would like you to read it again, slowly and carefully, taking note especially of the highlighted words.

The first word highlighted is conformed. Basically conformed can be interpreted as being molded into. Do not be molded into the ways of this world. The devil is the prince of the air and ruler of this world. He controls the media, the news and even the internet. So much is designed and programmed through the media and worldly enetertainment systems to mold you into the ways of sin.

The second important word is transformed. To transform  is interpreted as being to take on a new form. One dictionary lists it as the following  " To change markedly the appearance or form of," and secondly, " To change the nature, function, or condition of; convert". In other words this section of the scripture is telling us that we must undergo a change in both character and physical appearance.

The third highlighted item is renewing of your mind. This is the key element in moving away from being conformed by the wordly system and into being transformed by the power of God. God does not wish you to follow the ways of the world. God wants to renew your mind, remove all the wordly nonsense that has been planted into your thinking, and to totally transform you into a new creation. 2Corinthians 5: 17  "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new."  This is one of the key elements in the process of renewing your mind. When you start to feed on the word of God and choose to follow Jesus, by feeding on God's word and forsaking the ways of the world, you automatically begin a transformation through the continual renewing of your mind and you will undergo a transformation of your entire mind, body and soul.

The transformation that takes place will not necessary be an instant change as God is the potter and we are the clay. God continually works on us and reshapes and transforms us into what he wants us to be. Clay can not be instanly reshaped, although all things are possible with God, but clay has to be slowly worked in order to retain it's elasticity and to prevent it from breaking.

The last word highlighted is something very important. It is the word Prove. Prove means to put it to the test. God generally instructs that we should not test Him, yet in this scripture God says that we should put it to test, that if we forsake being conformed to this world, and choose to feed on His word, and renew our mind through His word, that you will receive that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. You will be transformed into the perfect creation that God created you to be.

Man was made in the image of God. God is perfect. That means that you were created perfect. If you are now anything less than perfect, it is because you allowed yourself to be conformed to the world. It is not too late to return to being the perfect creation, just simply renew your mind through the word and power of God and you will become the perfect creation that God called you to be - Not sick, Not fat, Not unhealthy - Just Perfect.

God Bless.
