How to Renew Your Mind
Romans 12:2
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed through the renewing of your mind.”
Do not accept the ways of the world which will teach you to be corrupt, a liar and a cheat, for it is the devil who controls the earth and all upon it. Accept Jesus into your heart and he will renew your mind, so that your eyes will be opened to the evil that is around you.
When you accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour, all things are made new. You become a new creation and you experience a renewing of both your mind and spirit. Unfortunately the old physical body remains the same - or does it.
Whatever happens in the spiritual will determine what happens in the physical. When there is a renewing of your spirit and a renewing of your mind, there will be changes in the physical. For some people these physical changes start to happen immediately and for others they take a while. I have witnessed people whom I have lead to the Lord, that literally started to look ten years younger within 1 day of accepting the Lord Jesus as their Saviour.

When we come to Christ and accept Him as Lord and Saviour of our lives we are given all the power and authority to use in His name. This power and authority only becomes ours to use when we choose to accept it. Many Christians never accept the power and authority but are quite content with walking under the protection and power that other christians have already accepted and are using. No brother, I can not pray for the sick as they will not get better through my prayers. Let me rather call brother John to pray as God hears his prayers and we stand more of a chance for this sick person to get healed. If God wanted brother John to pray for that sick person, He would have sent brother John there in the first place and not you. You have never taken up the power of the gift of healings that Christ has given to you. In like manner if you believe that Christ does not want to heal you or set you free from something, you can never be healed or set free.
A great testimony of this is a missionary in Lesotho who decided to do a healing campaign for 5 nights in a row. He organised an evangelist who was well known for his healing ministry to preach every night at the campaign. The campaign was well publicized and so many sick people came. The first night the evangelist preached but then would not pray for the sick to be healed telling them to return the next evening. The same thing happened the next evening. Just before the service on the third evening, the evangelist approached the missionary and told him that God had told him not to preach there anymore. The evangelist left and the poor little missionary had a big problem. He had hundreds of sick people waiting to be healed and the great and mighty man of God had left. The missionary had no option but to go and hold the meeting himself and pray for the sick himself. This was the beginning of one of the greatest healing and outreach evangelists of all time – Reinhardt Bonke – the evangelist that has brought healing to millions of people and has led millions to the Lord.
Renew your mind. You have to realise that God has chosen you. You did not choose God but he called and chose you to come to Him (John15:16). If God chose you it means that He loves you and has all the good things in store for you. These things are yours if only you will reach out your hand to Him and receive them. God is holding out His hand to you and is trying to give you everything that is promised to you in His word, reach out and take the gifts that he is offering to you and they will become yours.
Once you realise fully, that God is good and that God wants you to be healthy, to prosper, to live in peace, to be blessed and to reside in His love, then only can the physical changes start to happen in yourself.
