Jesus. Jesus and you!

Jigsaw Puzzle.

The Amazing Jigsaw Puzzle Of Life.

Life is one massive Jigsaw Puzzle, with many missing pieces, and nearly always incomplete. Our life is governed by all the many circumstances around us, and by all the life experiences that we encounter. Each of these is a small piece that gets added into our Jigsaw puzzle. Every person that we meet in life, adds another small piece into our puzzle, and for most people, the puzzle of life will never be completed until the day they die.

The Jigsaw Puzzle of Jesus

When it comes to our spiritual lives, it is no different in that we have this huge jigsaw puzzle. Some of us may have an uncomplicated 30 piece puzzle, while some may have a very complex 15000 or more piece puzzle.

Every person that has ever witnessed to us about Jesus, adds a missing piece to your puzzle. Every time that you tell someone about Jesus, you add a piece to their puzzle. As we go through life the puzzle gets closer to completion. The picture starts to take form and the picture becomes evident to all around who choose to look, and yet there are still missing pieces.

I remember when I was about thirteen or fourteen, and was a rebellious teenager who was already well versed with the use of alcohol and drugs. I was walking through a shopping centre alone, when a middle aged lady stopped me. She said to me, "I just want to let you know that Jesus loves you." She added a big piece to my puzzle.

A couple of years later, I had a girlfriend whose father was a born again christian. In those days I would have probably said that he was a religous nut, except that there was such a great love that came out from this man. He constantly spoke to me about Jesus, and I know that for many years after I had stopped dating his daughter, that he continued to pray daily for my salvation. He added many pieces to my spiritual jigsaw puzzle.

However, it does not matter how many pieces there are to your jigsaw puzzle, and how many people there are that add to your spiritual jigsaw puzzle, there will always be one piece missing. That final piece is the one piece that you will miss the most. If you have ever built a jigsaw puzzle, and after hours or even days of building,  you come to the final piece to add to the puzzle, and find that it is not there, it is gone, then that one missing piece will cause you more despair than the rest of all the piceces that you have combined. You start to search everywhere for that missing piece, and will carry on searching until one day you eventually find it, and when you do find it, you are so happy about that one final piece, and with a great sense of pride and joy you add the final piece to the puzzle and suddenly a sense of completeness comes over you.

Our spiritual jigsaw is the same. The closer we come to having the puzzle completed in our lives, the more urgent it becomes. Then when we come to the end we find that there is a piece missing and so we start to search all over for it, sometimes in all the wrong places. We try everything to find that missing piece, possibly dabbling in things that we should not, trying out false religions etc, only to find that those pieces do not fit into the puzzle.

Suddenly there is a knock at the door, and in our worry about finding the missing piece to the puzzle, you do not open the door. the knocking continues and becomes more urgent. Eventually, out of sheer frustration, you go to the door and open it, and there stands Jesus, with the missing piece of your puzzle in His hand - His complete love, and He says to you, "Son, invite me in, and I will place the last piece of the puzzle into your life, and you will be complete, and we will rejoice together." (Revelations 3:20).

We all have a part to play in building the jigsaw puzzles. If you are still building your puzzle, then listen to the knocking on the door and open the door for the Lord to bring you your final missing piece.

If your puzzle has already been completed, then you need to start adding pieces to the puzzles of others. Help them to complete their jigsaw puzzles.

Never stop building jigsaw puzzles.
