Fear The Lord

Fear of the Lord God has been lost in this modern society of ours. The fear of the Lord is the great mechanism that holds a nation together and leads it into righteousness and blessings. When the fear of the Lord is removed, the nation breaks apart and drifts into into sin of every description and decay and destruction follow.

The church is partly to blame for some of the erroneous teachings that have spread through the world. These teachings are teachings such as that the Old Testament is no longer applicable to our new generation, because of Jesus. They also add that the Love is Jesus is so great that it covers every sin. This is true, but not to the extent that it has become to be believed by all and sundry.

The love of Jesus will cover any sin that you repent of and confess to. It will not cover sins that are openly committed with the belief of "Oh well, Jesus will forgive me anyway!" Sin is dirt in God's eye and He can not stand sin. God and Jesus are the same and therefore, although Jesus is quick to forgive and true to forgive you, unrepented sin is dirt in their eye and can bring forth judgement and wrath from God.

Deuteronomy 10:12 "And now Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul."

The New Testament is built upon the old testament and has the old testament as a foundation. When viewing the old testament, it is viewed through the cross of Jesus and only where the work of Jesus specifically negates something from the old testament , does the item become crossed out in the old testament, and that also only to him who has accepted the Jesus as his Lord and Saviour and who recognises the work of Jesus.

Deuteronomy 10:12 above says that you must fear the Lord. Nothing that Jesus has done negates this commandment, and so therefore it stands as strong today as it did thousands of years ago. Losing the fear of God allows the doorway of sin to open. This nation has lost the fear of God and has become a nation of iniquity. With the iniquity comes the curses of deuteronomy 28.

One of the biggest concerns in modern times, amongst all nations is the spread of cancer and other disease. Cancer stood at a mere one person in a hundred who stood a chance to get cancer in the early 1900's. It is now estimated that one in three will get cancer, and even that figure is getting closer to one in two. Why? Because this nation has lost the fear of God and the curses of God are upon the nations. Look at Deuteronomy 28:27. This verse that describes some of the results of disobedience to God, specifically lists the tumours.

Now please, I am not saying that you have cancer because you do not fear God. There are many different reasons why cancer can be found in your body. However, this is a prime example of the evidence that the loss of the fear of God in the nation will lead to death and destruction of that nation.

Pray for our nations of the world today, that they will return to being God fearing nations who love the lord their God with all their might and all their heart and who set out to serve Him first, that the blessings of God may return to the nations and all will see His glory.

Jesus Died to your Advantage.

John16:7 "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if i do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you." These are the words of Jesus to His disciples when He started to warn them and prepare them for His death. They are also words to us, that we must not mourn His death but rather that we should celebrate in His death the fact that we have received life.

In verse 21 of chapter 16, Jesus describes labour of a woman and the birth of her baby. The woman is in great sorrow and pain as labour comes on. She endures the agony of the labour pains and after awhile, the new baby is born. the woman quickly forgets the pains of birth and rejoices and celebrates the new life that has been born into the world. So must we be, forgetting the labour pains that Jesus endured for us in His death, that we may be born again into the world, a new creation through Him, filled with His Holy Spirit.

I have heard many say that they wish that Jesus was here alive on the earth today. Jesus said it was to our advantage that he goes away. If Jesus were alive on earth today, He would be restricted by an earthly body and would not be able to see to the needs of all the people of the earth. In the death of Jesus, we were given a new life and His Holy Spirit that lives inside of us. It is a part of Jesus that lives inside of you.

Now if you have not yet learnt to listen to and obey the part of Jesus that is within you through His Holy Spirit, Just what then makes you think that you would listen to and obey Jesus in person if He were still alive on earth today. Jesus is alive and living, just not as a physical person, but as a spritual being that lives right inside of you, available to listen to you and guide and protect you 24/7.

Because Jesus now lives inside of you through His Holy Spirit, He says to us in John16: 24 "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." Jesus lives inside of you, and so you therefore have the full power and authority of Jesus living right there inside of you. All you need to do is ask the Father for anything in the Name of Jesus, and the Father in Heaven will supply to all of your needs (Maybe not wants) according to His riches and glory. If you are filled with the Holy Sprit, then automatically whatever you ask for will be in line with the word of God and not based on selfish wants.

Jesus said that it is to your advantage that He goes away. If you have been given the advantage, then you have to use it.

Forgive love

Paul talks about communion in Corinthians 11 from verse 27. In verse 29 "For he who eats and drinks (Communion) in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgement to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this reason many are weak and sick amongst you, and many sleep(Have died)."

The above scripture relating to taking communion in an unworthy manner, relates mainly to those who have not forgiven their brothers and who do not love their brothers and sisters. The brothers and sisters are those who are in Christ, although I am convinced that the true meaning of this is not only those who are already in Christ, but also those who could come to be in Christ. ie All people.

The chief commandment is that we love our neighbour as we love ourselves (Romans 13:9). If we obey this commandment,  then we can never carry unforgiveness against any brother or sister, and we can never fall in danger of the judgement. Romans 14:10 "But why do you judge your brother? Or Why do you show contempt for your brother? "

Matthew 5:22 "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."

We are to forgive all those who have trespassed against us (Matthew 6:14), love those who hate us (Matthew 5:44), and be merciful to all around (Matthew 5:7), that we may walk in the love of Jesus and in health and blessings. If we ar esick, and have any form of unforgiveness in our lives, then we are to quickly forgive, that our Father in heaven may forgive us and that we may be healed of our sicknesses.

The Greatest Victory is often in Defeat.

The crowds were stirred up and excited. They could sense the blood that was about to flow. They had carefully been planning these events for months. They had incited and stirred up hatred amongst many, and now the many had come out to gain victory.

A huge crowd was gathered, excited with the prospect of winning. They were eventually going to see "Justice done". Their victim had been cornered and betrayed into captivity. He had been captured and all that remained was the final act, the slow death of their victim and then victory was theirs.

The nails were pounded through the hands, the feet were nailed and the beaten victim was set on the cross, hung between two low life criminals to slowly await the impending death and the ultimate defeat through death. His capturers taunted and mocked Him. Surely this man that hung there on the cross so meekly and seemingly without any power, could not have been the man that they had tried for so long to corner and capture. Why had this man so readily accepted this death on the cross that would means His end forever. His capturers were probably a little disappointed that it was so easy. There was no fight to it. The only smal bit of resistance was when one of this man's friends had drawn a sword and cut off the ear of one of the soldiers, and even then this Man had commanded His disciple to put away his sword. Why He even picked up the severed ear and replaced it on the soldier and healed it (Luke 22:51).

After hours hanging there on the cross, this man who had claimed to be so great, suddenly cried out and then there was no life found in Hid body. Why was it so easy. Even the worthless robbers that had hung next to Him outlived Him.  Surely the victory over this Man should have been better, sweeter. Surely He should have at least put up a fight. Why had he so easily accepted "Defeat". Even when we taunted Him before he died, instead of fighting back at us, He merely said "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."

Life returned to normal, except of course for those that mourned the death of the Man that had been their hero, the man that they had witnessed performing so many miracles. This Man that they had come to accept as being the Messiah, the Son of the living God, had been taken away from them. Doubt entered their minds and fear gripped them. They had openly been telling everyone how this Man was truely the Messiah and that nothing could defeat this Man, and now He was dead and gone. What were they going to do? Was this Man who died so easily really the Messiah that they thought He was?

Yet on the third day, when they went to the tomb, His body was not there. Instead there was a angel that gave them instructions, telling them that there was no defeat, but that victory had arrived. Suddenly over the next days, a realisation came upon the whole area, that what the people who were against Jesus had thought to be a great victory, had became their biggest defeat ever. He was not dead but He is alive!!

The Christ had risen, and not only had He risen, but also defeated death and sin, and had secured the keys to hades. He had secured the ultimate victory in what all had first believed to be defeat. The price had been paid, and now the devil and his demons had been defeated once and for all eternity. They thought they had won the war, but they Lost!

Often times will come before you, when all are against you and it appears as if the ultimate defeat is going to overtake you. Have faith and the knowledge that our Lord Jesus takes defeat and turns it into victory. The greater the defeat appears to be, the greater that the victory will be. Nothing is impossible for Jesus, so place your faith in Him. Allow Him to take control and handle your situation.

My God is the God of miracles and the condition for a miracle is impossibility. So when the situation appears to be impossible, just sit back, smile and say, "Ok Jesus, it is your situation, take this thing that appears to be defeat and turn it into a great victory, so all may see that you are The Christ, that lives inside of me."  Praise Jesus!

Christian Weight Control

Weight gain and loss is an issue that affects people from all walks of life and christians are no different. However what is different is that we have the Son of the living God living inside of us, and if you are able to recognise that with Christ inside of you, you are no longer any ordinary person, but a child of God, then you will understand that you have extraordinary powers to enable you to control your weight.

I do not usually post articles about wordly issues, but please bear with me on this post, as this is a issue that negatively affects the morale of many christians , and the solution to the problem will not only benefit you health wise and weight wise, but will strengthen your christain walk  and take you to new heights in your realationship with Jesus.

Traditionally weight control is achieved by using diets and dieting supplements such as hoodia. Bearing in mind that we are all created as being mind body and soul, why do we then treat our weight problems by utilising only the body(diet). If we are able to combine the added power of the mind and soul to our weight loss program then we are utilising much more power to solve the problem.

Weight gain is mostly a symptom of an underlying problem. An example is that many people recognise that emotional eating is one of the major contributors to weight gain. Most people gain weight as a result of an underlying issue. The weight gain is merely a symptom, and what we do is to try and remove the symptom through dieting and diet supplements, but we totally ignore the root cause of the symptom of weight gain. This becomes a never ending battle for as long as the root cause is there, the weight will always return regardless of how many diets you embark on and how many dieting supplements that you use.

A recent independant study showed that 20% of weight loss can be attributed to controlling what you eat. A further 10 to 15%  can be controlled through exercise. That leaves a balance of 65% or more that is only controllable through the Mind and Soul. Why then concentrate on diets and exercise when the majority of the problem is solved through the mind and soul. Is that not where you should be concentrating and placing your efforts on removing the root cause of the problem.

A great man of God, Dr Frank Smoot, took the results of this independant study and with the guidance of God, he found that the study confirmed what had been in the bible all the time. Dr Frank then compiled a program called "Weight Loss God's Way" which helps you to identify the root cause of your problems that leads to weight gain and then shows you how to biblically deal with the problems and remove the root. The results are simply incredible and the most common response received from those who have embarked on the amazing program is "I don't know what happened but the weight just started to fall off". Once you remove the root cause of the weight gain, weight problems can no longer exist and the weight just starts to effortlessly fall off of you.

Many christians fail to walk in the full power of the Lord Jesus that lives inside of them. The aspect of this program that I love so much and the prime reason that I actively promote the program, is that when you take part in this program, the teachings are so incredible that they will install a new realisation into you of just who you are in Christ, and a new revelation will come into your life and transform you. Romans 12:2 "And do not be conformed to this world but be transformed through the remewing of your mind".  When you undertake this home study course that is a digital download and is available to you immediately, you will break free from the worldly thinking that moulds (Conforms) you and you will be transformed (Change shape) simply by renewing the way that you think and speak and through the revelation of the Christ that is within you.

For further information on this amazing course - please click "Weight Loss God's way". Remember that this program is not a diet, but a way of life that will cause you to lose weight permanently and that you will be transformed through the renewing of your mind. If you do not want to change and are happy with your body and your walk with Jesus, then do not click on the link above.

Overcoming The World

"Who is he that overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God", 1 John 5:5 .

Jesus died on the cross and on the third day He rose, victorious and truimphant. Thereafter He ascended up to heaven to rule at the right hand of the Father. Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father until this day and continues to rule triumphantly. Jesus is able to rule due to the fact that during the three days of "Death", He was not "Dead" but was rather securing the victory over the enemy, defeating death and destruction caused by sin, and securing the "contract" that allows you and me to choose Jesus as our Lord and Saviour and achieve eternal life through His blood that was shed for us and through his bruising (Isiaiah 53:5).

At the time that we choose to leave a life of sin and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, we then are confessing that Jesus is the Son of God. Through the acceptance of Jesus into our lives and by becoming bonded to Him in Love, we are given the power to overcome the world and are made more than conquerors, through the power in the name of Jesus.

Peter was asked by Jesus in Matthew 16:15 "But who do you say that I am?" . The reply that proceeded from Peter in verse 16 is the most powerfull confession that we can ever make in our lives - "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."

When you confess Jesus in your life and when you confess out loudly that He is the Son of the Living God, then the demons begin to tremble and flee from before you, sickness leaves and the whole world around you starts to change from the power of Jesus that begins to exude from you in that simple statement of faith.

Overcoming the world is simple, Confess that Jesus is Lord of all, that He is lord of your life, and that He is the Son of the living God and that the Son of the Living God has chosen to live in you through His Holy Spirit. When you confess these things, they start to become a reality in your life and the power that is in these statements begins to form in your life. Then the demons, principalities and powers, see the power of the love of  Jesus shining through you and they can not bear the light in you and they have to flee. You have overcome the world through the power of Jesus that lives inside of you, because you recognise and confess that Jesus is the Son of the Living God.

The Love of Jesus makes us More than Conquerors.

We are more than conquerors through the love of Jesus. God, who so loved the world (John3:16), gave us Jesus that Jesus could come down to the earth and defeat Satan, the principalities and powers, and spiritual wickedness in high places. Jesus defeated the works of darkness and paid a price for the remission of our sins, dying on the cross and rising again on the third day, so that the love of Jesus and the love of God could be complete and cemented into our lives and that we could be more than conquerors through the love of Jesus.

Once we accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour into our lives, nothing can then seperate us from the love of Jesus. The love that Jesus has for us, becomes cemented into our lives and becomes the rock of Jesus Christ that is the foundation upon which we begin to build our house. Build your house on the rock.

Romans 8:37 to 39. "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded  that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things yet to come, nor height nor depth nor any other created thing, shall be able to seperate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".

The love of Jesus is so powerful that nothing can ever seperate you from it, not even the angels! What have we done to deserve this love that is so powerful? How can we ever be worthy of such a love? We can never earn this love and no matter how hard we try, we can never be worthy of this love, for it is a gift that has been given from the Father to us. Accept the gift of Jesus and the love of Jesus, and know that no matter what you do, no matter how many times that you may fall, no matter how many times that you think that you are not worthy of Him, that nothing will change the fact that Jesus loves you more than you could ever imagine.

What is a conqueror? A conqueror is someone who goes out and defeats the enemy. A world champion boxer can be classed as a conqueror. He goes and trains and trains day in and day out, pushing himself to the extremes. Eventually the day of a big fight comes and he enters into the boxing ring. After many rounds and after receiving much physical punishment, he then defeats his oponent. He becomes the world champion.

What is more than a conqueror? The boxer then goes home to his family, and he hands over his winnings cheque to his wife and children. They become more than conquerors. They have not trained nor fought, yet they share the spoils of the victory, and everyone knows that they are family of the world champion boxer, and that should any harm befall them, then the wrath of the world champion boxer will be unleashed.

Jesus came to the earth. He defeated principalities and powers and rulers and sin. Then he came to us and gave us the spoils of his victory, and we became more than conquerors in His name. Now all principalities and powers fear you, for if they should try to harm you, they know that the wrath of the world champion, Jesus Christ, will fall upon them.

Walk tall and proud in the power of Jesus today,  in the knowledge that you are more than a conqueror through the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.

Blessed are you.

Blessed are the poor in spirit,  for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are those that hunger and search for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.

The above are an extract from the sermon on the mount that can be found in Matthew 5:1 to Mathew 7:27 . The word blessed can be defined in the biblical sense as, "To be envied". If you are blessed then people will be jealous of you.

Be blessed in the mighty name of Jesus and through the outpouring upon you of the Love of Jesus.

Low Self Esteem – I am not Worthy.

Low self esteem in Christians will defeat you, and is as much a weapon of satan in destroying christians, as is the sin of pride which is one of the seven deadly sins. Low self esteem must never be confused with being humble. They are two completely different things. Low self esteem is when you consider and believe that you are not worthy of the love and rewards of Jesus. Being humble is not to place yourself in a position higher than you ought to be.

I am not worthy of the love of Jesus. Satan is the condemner and will constantly come and try to convict you of all kinds of wrong doings. He will politely rub your face in every one of your shortfalls in life and will try to prove to you that you are not worthy of the love of Jesus, and that you are not worthy of eternal life. He will impress on you that you do not deserve the rewards of serving Jesus, and that despite all that you may have accomplished in your christian walk, despite all that you have achieved, and despite having faithfully served the Lord Jesus, that you have fallen short of the glory of God, and therefore are not worthy.

The condemnation of the accuser of men leads to low self esteem in men (and women). It is the feeling of being not worthy. Jesus calls us to walk in faith and to take up the authority that He has given us in His name. However if you feel unworthy of the name of Jesus, then you will never take up the authority that Jesus has given you and you will become an ineffective christian, always defeated, which is exactly where satan wants you to be and then satan has won the battle and created another ineffective and low self esteemed christian. Learn instead to walk in the power of Jesus.

I recently spoke to a phsycologist who had been the victim of a fairly brutual robbery. She stated to me that she was fully qualified to council victims of brutual crimes and all types of trauma. She constantly councils such people and helps them overcome the trauma that they went through, and yet she was unable to overcome her own trauma. She was unable to take her own training and her qualifications and to apply it to herself.

Many of us christians are the same as this phsycologist. We are unable to take our training in the word of God and apply to it our own situation. We fail to see how the power of the word of God and the love of Jesus can take us out of our own situation because we are not worthy. The other christians are worthy, but satan has reminded us just how unworthy we are of the love of Jesus and therefore Jesus would not waste His time in helping us.

You are worthy! Jesus died just for you. If you were the only person on the earth, Jesus would still have come and would still be prepared to die - just for you.

If you are so unworthy, then why did Jesus choose you. That is right - you did not choose Him - He chose you. John 15:16 "You did not choose Me, but I chose you...". Jesus chose you because you are worthy and are just perfect to carry out the plans that He has for you, if you will only believe that you are worthy to perform His will.

The bible is your instruction book to life. It was given to us that we could refer to it and see all the benefits and authority that we have. It was also given to us that we could understand the laws of God and to understand His glory. The bible forms a contract that God makes with us, signed in the blood of Jesus. If you do not read the bible, how can you ever have the full knowledge of God's wisdom and glory and power. How can you ever understand that good and perfect and acceptable will of God for you in your life. How can you ever know the terms and conditions of the contract of life that you have with God. God wants you to stand proud in His name (Not in your own Pride). God wants you to take up the authority that He has given you, and He wants you to defeat all the obstacles that satan may place in your path, through the power that God has given to you.

God can not help you if you are wimpering in a corner, saying that you are not worthy and refusing to take up what He has given you. He can not help you when you refuse to take the blessings that He has given to you, by keeping on saying or thinking that you are not worthy. God wants you to arise over your situation and to defeat the situation that you have found yourself in, by taking up the promises that He has given to you and by taking the authority that He has given you in the name of Jesus. God wants you to take up the armour of war that He has supplied to you in Ephesians 6:13, and to take it and use it in your fight against the principalities and rulers and powers. You are worthy of the Love of Jesus and are worthy to stand up and fight in the name of Jesus.

There is no sin that the Love of Jesus can not overcome, defeat and forgive. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and He lives inside of you, through His Holy Spirit. The accuser will stand before you and try to condemn you, but you will say back to him "There is therefore now no condemnation, to those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1) and when you stand up to the accuser and challenge him, he has to flee from before you because it is written that when you resist the devil that he will flee (James 4:7).

You are worthy and all the promises of the bible are for you. If you are sick, resist the devil and he will flee. Jesus is the healer and by His stripes you ARE HEALED (Isaiah 53:5). If you are struggling financially, then obey the word of God in accordance to His instructions, begin to tithe and give offerings, and He will pour out His blessing s upon you such as that you can not contain them (Malachi 3:8 to 10). If you are down in depression - praise and worship Him and soon there will be no place for depression in your life. Sing your praises to the Lord for satan can not bear to hear praises being sung to the Lord and He will flee from before you.

In all things remember that you are worthy of the love of Jesus, else Jesus would never have chosen you to serve Him in the first place. Jesus bought your soul and you are now bonded to Him in love, not that you should suffer for Him, but that you should prosper in Him.

If you have not yet accepted Jesus into your life as Lord and Saviour, then accept Jesus today, and overcome that low self esteem that the devil has placed upon you. Walk in the mighty army of Jesus.
